Retrofit and grow ~ profitable solutions!

It is roughly estimated there are around 26 Million existing domestic homes in the UK that will require a range of diverse works to bring them up to the standard of low energy use to meet the government's carbon reduction target of 80% reduction by the year 2050.

In the main, the work is not 'rocket science' but is based generally around good, sound building practice using modern materials designed to provide effective solutions ...

There are many contractors now turning to this type of work activity as it does represent good opportunities to get the construction industry back on a path to recovery as the UK pulls itself out of the deep recession ...

I found this short video on You-Tube which gives a good insight into the process ...

Simply click on the link ~ the whole video is worth watching and will take less than 15 minutes BUT may be the best 15 minutes worth of free time you can get to start you onto new ways to make your business grow again ...

Top idea. Theres no exscuse, as far as im cnnceroed, for not implementing huge ideas like this. It probably would be a logistical nightmare and cost billions but how much do floods and droughts cost in terms of lost business, insurance and so on. And how positive for the environment, jobs and image of the nation would projects like this be?I thought the government wanted this country to be dynamic and innovative since everyone else is better at metal bashing jobs (and now call centre jobs etc)Why cant the govt bods start thinking long term and pull their fingers out to make massive changes making substantial differences?Instead of spending however many billion on a new nuclear power plant, fit a small solar panel or wind turbine on every house. Or, heres an idea, send every household 1 energy saving lightbulb. Even if only a quarter of the people fit them, the power saved would be huge.
