Independent Governance Board
Bromley Council management will seek expressions of interest from a wide range of representative organisations, the academic institutions, the various professional bodies, the employer bodies, the trade unions representing the construction industry workforce, and the HSE to form an Independent Governance Board [IGB] to assist Bromley in the academic process of the E-Learning.
The size of the IGB will be determined by need. Ideally for working the IGB should be maintained at around 15 members but it will not exceed a maximum of 20 members. The IGB may vary this by unanimous vote. The IGB may only vote to vary the size of the Board if at least 12 Board members are present at a formal meeting. Notice of motion to vary the size of the Board must been given at the preceding formal meeting. The IGB may co-opt others to assist but co-opted persons/organizations will not have voting rights.
The IGB will meet formally at quarterly intervals and meeting notes will be posted onto the CDM2007.org website. David F Jones FCIOB., FASI., MRICS., MaPS from the Bromley Council will Chair and regulate the meetings of the Board. Each Member organisation will remain a Member as long as they wish and may appoint their own representatives to attend all meetings.
The IGB will advise Bromley on the content of the training course material included in the CDM2007.org scheme. The IGB will monitor all training course material is maintained to provide the necessary training resources for all those who remain within valid current membership to prove they are competent to meet their respective duties. The IGB will advise Bromley as to what CPD may be required from time to time.
At each formal meeting the IGB will review all training material provided in the CDM2007.org scheme and will either confirm this remains valid to ensure continuing competence under CDM2007 or will recommend the CDM2007.org training management organisation to amend; update; vary; replace; or otherwise change the course material to ensure.
